AcademicsThe curriculum at Immaculate Conception School is designed to provide needed assistance for students who have difficulties with their work, while at the same time challenging those students who are able to go beyond the normal curriculum. The achievement of our students shows that we succeed with both parts of that goal. Often, students with lower abilities achieve standardized test scores well above what their ability tests predict for them, and the challenges within IC’s curriculum prepare the students very well for what they face at the middle school and high school. In addition to our regular classroom curriculum, IC School has an Enrichment program that provides even more challenge to our students. Four or five times throughout the year, each class has an Enrichment lesson, where all the students learn about a new topic or try a new skill, something that is not part of the state’s regular curriculum. One teacher teaches the Enrichment lessons for all grades.
