Mrs. Frazier - Room 303
This year I am teaching sixth grade. the sixth graders are the leaders of our school! As leaders we have special responsibilities that include leading monthly assemblies, leading school teams for various activities, leading stations of the cross, and even participating in a Science Fair. Each year students have the opportunity to experience a week in nature at Glen Helen in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Students not only have a chance to learn and experience nature, but to become more united as a class through hiking trips and group activities.
Sixth graders stay very busy at IC! Along with our regular classes, students can also participate in safety patrol, at mass serving, playing volleyball and basketball, and in being part of the band by playing an instrument.
As the 6th grade Reading teacher, we focus on many different novels that we read together as a class. We also read lots of other books for monthly book reports. One of the favorites is the biography book report where each student makes a life size sketch of the person they studied! In Religion class, we study the Bible and learn about the beginning of our faith. By putting our faith into practice, we become independent leaders of our school community.
