Welcome to Sixth Grade!
Hello, my name is Bev Korte. I have been teaching at I. C. for many years. My husband, Jay, and I have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I graduated from St. Francis College, now the University of St. Francis, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
During sixth grade the students take part in many varied activities. They develop their leadership skills as the heads of our school families, as leaders of the Stations of the Cross during Lent, as role models for their first grade buddies, and as participants in the May Crowning ceremony. They take part in the science fair, go to Glen Helen for four days, act out the parables at the beginning of each month for our Faith Journals, attend a retreat at the end of the year, prepare powerpoint presentations as part of computer class, conduct numerous science experiments and learn how to write a lab report.
