Principal - Kathy Mescher

I have been part of Immaculate Conception School for most of my life! I attended IC from second grade through twelfth grade, graduating in the last class from IC High School. After receiving my degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, I came here in 1979 to teach, - first, math in the junior high, and then, when we became a K-6 school in 1986, I moved to fifth grade. In 1992, I became principal, and this is the most enjoyable job I could imagine!

Being part of a Catholic school is rewarding, both professionally and spiritually. Being single, with no children of my own, I really enjoy having so many kids here at school. It has been wonderful to watch boys and girls mature  in  their education and in their faith. The faith and values that we are able to share at IC School set our school apart, and we get to see our children deepen their relationship with God.

Near my office, there is a book with the signatures of students who have been "caught being good". It now contains many years of great kids, and looking back at the first pages of the first book, I see the names of students who have successfully completed high school and college, and I feel great satisfaction having been part of that development. There is no better job than mine.
