Room 301 - Sherry Reineke
Hello. My name is Sherry Reineke, and I have taught at Immaculate Conception for many years! I live in Celina and have one grown son, Troy. I am currently teaching 5th grade homeroom and 5th and 6th grade Social Studies.
The fifth grade year is a time of many new events: changing classes, many new teachers, and opportunities to become Mass servers, Safety Patrol guards, basketball and volleyball players, and Student Leaders During the year, we study American history, identify and learn more about our sacraments, and continue building on our math, reading, and writing skills. The students also learn more about the computer during lab time.
Three special highlights during 5th grade are the time spent with our Kindergarten buddies and successful completion of the D.A.R.E. program, and our overnight trip to Camp Wilson, an outdoor education center. If possible and available, we try to attend a play that correlates with either our reading series or our social studies program. Our fifth graders are definitely busy and learning!
